About the Ministry
The Willow Street Community Connection is an exciting new initiative aiming to engage and serve the broader community. The Director will collaborate closely with existing community partners such as the preschool, Boy Scouts, and Lions Club. The role involves creating and leading a variety of events hosted at the church, such as blood drives, lectures, and more. Additionally, the Director will facilitate outreach efforts to attract external events and rentals to the church facilities. The role is outcomes-driven with flexible scheduling abilities.
Compensation for the position begins at $25.00/hour (10 hours/week).
All applicants will be asked to submit clearances prior to hire including FBI Background and Child Abuse clearances.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal Willow Street Community Connection Director is a proactive leader with a passion for community engagement and event management. They should be adept at fostering partnerships and organizing diverse activities that serve both church members and the broader community. The candidate should have some flexibility in their schedule to work ten hours per week on average.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a calendar of community events and activities hosted at Willow Street Church.
Collaborate with existing partners and build new partnerships to enhance community outreach and service.
Coordinate logistics for events, including scheduling, promotion, and volunteer management.
Cultivate relationships with external organizations and individuals to bring events and rentals to the church facilities.
Manage budgets and resources effectively to support community-focused activities.
Serve as a welcoming and knowledgeable point of contact for all community connection-related inquiries.
Communicate updates about this growing ministry with the congregation and Conistory via Sunday services and monthly reports.
Work with staff and congregational leaders to utilize and expand public relations systems (print, media, and beyond).

Demonstrates enthusiasm for community service and engagement.
Possesses strong organizational skills
Showcases professional communication skills (oral, written, media).
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups and individuals
Experience in event planning, community outreach, or other relevant skills
